Description
The Dolphin Skimmi 300 is the step up in the Skimmi line, a solar-powered robotic skimmer for New Zealand pools up to 20 metres that gives you more control over where and how it cleans. Like the Skimmi 200, it works the surface of the pool, collecting leaves, bugs, pollen and floating debris before it sinks.
Smart solar recharge keeps it cordless and self-sufficient, and smart sensors steer it around walls, cables and toys for up to 99% surface coverage. On top of that, the 300 adds Edge Cleaning Mode for the perimeter, where debris tends to gather, and Call to Edge retrieval, so the Maytronics One™ app brings it to you when the tray needs emptying.
Eco Mode is more flexible too, with short, medium or long scheduled sessions rather than a single default. If your pool sits under trees or carries a heavy debris load, this is the one to choose.

Product Details
The Dolphin Skimmi 300 takes the Skimmi platform and builds out the features that make a surface cleaner easier to live with. Edge Cleaning Mode targets the pool perimeter, Call to Edge brings it in for retrieval with a tap, and Advanced Eco Mode lets you set short, medium or long sessions to suit the pool. It shares the same paddle-wheel drive, front debris collection wheel and easy-clean fine filter tray as the Skimmi 200, runs on solar power with external charging as a back-up, and carries a three year warranty rather than two. Sized for pools up to 20 metres, in any shape.
Key Features and Benefits
- Edge Cleaning Mode: Skims continuously along the pool perimeter while skipping the centre, which is exactly where leaves and debris tend to collect against the walls.
- Call to Edge Retrieval: One tap in the Maytronics One™ app brings the Skimmi to the pool edge for easy pick up, so emptying the tray is no longer a fishing exercise.
- Advanced Eco Mode: Choose short, medium or long auto-scheduled sessions instead of a single default, so the clean fits your pool and the changeable New Zealand seasons.
- Solar Powered and Cordless: No plugs, no cables and no retrieval. It seeks out the sunniest spots in the pool to recharge itself, so it keeps working through the day without a power lead in sight.
- Up to 99% Surface Coverage: Patented obstacle avoidance and edge detection let it reach the corners where debris collects, rated by Maytronics at up to 99% surface coverage.
- Smart Sensors: Infrared sensors above and below the waterline pick up walls, hoses, cables and pool toys, so it moves smoothly around them rather than getting stuck.
- Edge-Free and Leaf Capture Modes: Edge-Free clears the open surface of a dirty pool fast, and Leaf Capture actively seeks out large leaves and floating debris, both running until the battery runs down.
- Easy-Clean Filter Tray: A removable fine filter tray with a non-return flap holds onto everything it collects and empties in seconds.
- Maytronics One™ App Control: Premium app control to switch modes, schedule cleans and call the Skimmi to the edge from your phone.
- Three Year Warranty: A full year longer than the Skimmi 200, backed by Maytronics and supported locally through your Poolwerx store.
