Description
The Dolphin Skimmi 200 is a solar-powered robotic skimmer for New Zealand pools up to 20 metres, and the entry point into the Skimmi line. It works the surface rather than the floor, paddling around the pool to collect leaves, bugs, pollen and other floating debris before it has a chance to sink.
There is nothing to plug in and nothing to fish out. Smart solar recharge finds the sunniest patch of water and tops up the battery on its own, while smart sensors steer it around walls, hoses, cables and pool toys. Maytronics rates its obstacle avoidance and edge detection at up to 99% surface coverage.
Three cleaning modes cover the everyday jobs: Edge-Free for a fast clear of a dirty pool, Leaf Capture for chasing down large leaves, and Eco Mode for scheduled sessions that keep the surface tidy. Everything runs from the Maytronics One™ app, and in the shoulder seasons, when the pool still collects leaves but nobody is swimming, it quietly keeps on top of things.

Product Details
The Dolphin Skimmi 200 is built for pool owners who are tired of reaching for the leaf scoop. It works the water surface only, using two side paddle wheels to get around and a front debris collection wheel to draw floating leaves, bugs and pollen into an easy-clean fine filter tray. A built-in solar panel and lithium-ion battery keep it running without a power lead, with external charging as a back-up for overcast stretches. Sized for pools up to 20 metres, in any shape.
Key Features and Benefits
- Solar Powered and Cordless: No plugs, no cables and no retrieval. It seeks out the sunniest spots in the pool to recharge itself, so it keeps working through the day without a power lead in sight.
- Up to 99% Surface Coverage: Patented obstacle avoidance and edge detection let it reach the corners where debris collects, rated by Maytronics at up to 99% surface coverage.
- Smart Sensors: Infrared sensors above and below the waterline pick up walls, hoses, cables and pool toys, so it moves smoothly around them rather than getting stuck.
- Edge-Free Cleaning Mode: Best for a dirty pool. Skims the open surface continuously until the battery runs down, then switches to Eco Mode for a one-time cleaning cycle.
- Leaf Capture Mode: Actively hunts out large leaves and floating debris until the battery runs down, which earns its keep through a New Zealand autumn when the trees are dropping.
- Eco Mode: Runs auto-scheduled cleaning sessions at a default medium length, keeping the surface tidy day to day with no input from you.
- Easy-Clean Filter Tray: A removable fine filter tray with a non-return flap holds onto everything it collects and empties in seconds.
- Maytronics One™ App Control: Switch between cleaning modes and schedule cleans from your phone.
- Two Year Warranty: Backed by a two year Maytronics warranty and supported locally through your Poolwerx store.
