You do not require prior experience in pool and spa management to become a successful Poolwerx Franchise Partner.
Poolwerx operates an in-house 'Pool School' staffed by professional educators through a Registered Training Organisation. Course modules cover technicalities and business operations, and are supported by field visits to provide an authentic understanding of all concepts.
Partners are encouraged to attend and often identify areas of particular interest e.g. marketing, bookwork and IT. Franchise Partners have the training support of your regional Business Development Manager, more than 45 Head Office staff and frequent interaction with fellow franchisees. Their training is also backed by information and modules at monthly business meetings, state conferences, the national convention, and special events.
Poolwerx have developed structured training programs to not only get you started in the Poolwerx way of life, but ensure that every Franchise Partner and their teams receive the latest and most up to date training.
These range from business topics such as book keeping, marketing, commercial sales, legislation, Human Resources, First Aid, through to industry specific training like water chemistry, plumbing, problem solving and commercial pools.
Poolwerx also works closely with industry bodies like the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) and government to gain certification for our business owners and their teams.

This program is delivered to all Franchise Partners as they join Poolwerx - regardless of their background and experience. Delivered through class room and practical methods by certified trainers, this program gains credits towards Certificates in Pool and Spa Service. It also has an online pre-learning component.
Learn about the products and equipment.
The learning continues for all Franchise Partners and their staff throughout their Poolwerx journey. Every winter the head office team and specialist trainers (from within the industry and also external providers) hit the road and deliver face to face training. From the latest products and equipment to legislation updates or technology advances, Winter is a great time to continue your learning.
24/7 learning tool for you and your staff.
The combined knowledge and experience of the Poolwerx trainers and support teams is hard to match in any industry. From the smallest blow up pool through to huge water parks or film special effects - our team have 'been there done that'. This same team create e-learning content which all Franchise Partners can access via our online training portal. This content can be accessed 24/7 by you and your team. Not only is it a great way to ensure the whole team is up to date, but it also helps you retain and train your staff.
There is a saying often used in franchising "in business for yourself, not by yourself' which rings true when outlining the wider range of support services offered within Poolwerx. This list is not exhaustive but should be used as a guide for planning.
Your Poolwerx journey will be supported primarily by your Business Development Manager. The Poolwerx field team is highly experienced, multi-awarded and multi-disciplined. The face to face engagement of this team begins post Pool School where you will complete the 'forming good habits' program. This program is competency based and completed as you work. The field team will work with you to complete quarterly reviews and annual business planning, to achieve both your personal and business goals.
The Commercial Team is responsible for building national relationships with Commercial Partners across the areas of Realtors, Pool Builders, Insurance, Strata/Bodies Corporate, Hospitality and Institutions. They work alongside our Franchise Partners to attend national roadshows and conferences, driving national leads at a local level. Poolwerx is the preferred supplier to many of these sales verticals.
Poolwerx offer in house Human Resource support though employment contract templates, recruitment advice and staff management issues. They can also advise and assist on all Industrial Relations and Workplace Health and Safety issues.
Information and Communications Technology.
Accessing IT support services is simple within the Poolwerx system. With training and support able to be initiated remotely, those tricky computer issues can quickly be resolved.
There when you need.
No matter what technical issue you may face, with more than 600 Poolwerx people internationally, there is always someone to ask for help and guidance. This help is often accessed through forums, but often a quick call to the award winning Technical Support Team will quickly resolve any problems. This team is also responsible for a robust Road to Market program where all products sold through the Poolwerx network are tested under tough conditions to ensure we only sell the best products to our clients.
